ThinkMerit EdTech Pvt Ltd · Unpoplar Social
Social Privacy Notice
Effective / updated 24 October 2026 · Supplements the Unpoplar Privacy Policy
This notice explains how Unpoplar Social handles information for its scheduling and publishing service. The shared Unpoplar Privacy Policy also applies. This service-specific notice describes additional data use when you use Social; it does not change the shared policy for other Unpoplar products.
Information Social processes
When you sign in using your Unpoplar account, we process the account identifier, profile information, roles and session/security records needed to authenticate you and provide access to your workspace. Workspace owners and administrators may invite members and manage access.
You may submit post captions, media links, scheduled times, platform selections, workspace details, API keys and support requests. The scheduler stores post and delivery status so you can review, edit or cancel work. Content is supplied by you or your separate content workflow; Social does not need to generate it to schedule it.
Connected social accounts
If you choose to connect Facebook Pages, Instagram professional accounts or YouTube channels, the relevant platform processes your authorization. Social receives the account details and permissions needed to publish the posts you request. Access tokens are encrypted at rest and used to perform authorized scheduling and publishing actions. We do not ask for or store your social-network passwords.
When a post is due, Social sends the content, media reference and scheduling instructions to the platform you selected. Platforms may return post identifiers, publishing status or error information. Your use of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Google is also governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
How we use and share information
We use Social information to authenticate users, operate workspaces, schedule and publish posts at your direction, show status, protect the service, provide support, administer subscriptions through Unpoplar, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information. We share relevant data with hosting, authentication, infrastructure and support providers acting on our behalf, with the social platforms you connect, and where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security.
Workspace administrators may view workspace posts, connected account details and member activity. API keys are workspace-scoped credentials; treat them as secrets and revoke them if exposed.
Retention, deletion and revoking access
We keep workspace, post, account and security information for as long as needed to provide Social, meet operational and legal requirements, resolve disputes and maintain appropriate backups. You can disconnect a social account in Social or revoke Unpoplar Social’s permissions from the relevant platform’s settings. Revocation prevents future access but does not remove content already published on that platform.
To request access, correction or deletion of Social data, or to ask a privacy question, email thinkmerit@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law requires it. Deleting a Social workspace does not delete your Unpoplar account or content already published to a third-party platform.
Security, transfers and your choices
We use safeguards appropriate to the service, including access controls and encryption for social account tokens. No system is completely secure. Service providers may process information outside your country, subject to applicable transfer protections. You can manage connected-platform permissions, workspace membership and API keys through the service.
Children and changes
Social is intended for people and organizations eligible to use the connected platforms and the applicable Unpoplar services. Parents or guardians may contact us about a child’s information or suspected inappropriate collection. We may update this notice as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
